Pet policy & fees: We happily welcome up to 2 dogs of any size! Our non-refundable flat $150 pet fee covers up to 2 dogs for the duration of your stay(automatically applied when you add pets to your guest count). Note: Per state law pets are not allowed on the beach. There is an area in the rear yard and the side yard for their potty breaks. Please pick up all waste from the yard. Thank you! Our pet house rules include: 1) Guest must bring their own pet beds and linens, as property linens and blankets may not be used for pets. 2) An additional deep-cleaning fee will be charged if pet hair or stains are found on the bedding or furniture. 3) Guest must bring all other necessary pet supplies such as: baggies for waste , dog bowls, leashes. 4) Dogs must be on a leash at all times when in outside common areas. 5) All dogs must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and flea/tick medication before arrival. "Please note: The pet fee covers standard post-stay deep cleaning only. Any physical damage caused by pets (including scratches, chewing, stained carpets or furniture) is not covered by this fee and will be charged directly to the guest via booking platform damage protection. "

THE SALTY MERMAIDS GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY 1. Grilling is limited to the ground level (sand) away from overhanging wood structure. Do not dispose of hot ashes in any trash receptacle or anywhere in the sand. 2. Be courteous of parking restrictions. Each unit should accommodate two vehicles in front of occupied unit. Additional space along front common area should be limited to one vehicle without blocking drive. Units A and E have a maximum of 8 occupants, two car limit should be sufficient. Parking along the back and/or side of drive should be parallel. Garage is available for unit E. Please do not block the other units (unit C and D threaten to tow without notice). 3. Garbage pickup is each Monday morning. Trash container is on the street inside the enclosure. Help keep our beach and property clean - dispose of all trash. Please break down boxes. 4. Please do not flush feminine products or large amount of toilet paper, it WILL create a leak in our ceiling. Our complex is on one septic tank. Please do not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilets...otherwise you WILL create a backup. When problems arise, we will all suffer! If red light on junction box in front of C/D if flashing call me immediately. 5. Gulls, herons, and birds are to be visually enjoyed. Please do not feed them from the decks or on the beach. 6. Please access the beach via the Dune Bridge only. Stay off the Dunes (Berm) and sea oats. These areas are marked by sand fences 7. Perdido Dunes are Townhomes and the beach is private, which means we each own the beach in front of each unit (down to the water). Please align your beach set up with your respective unit. Do not encroach on the other units beachfront. If you have a large beach set up, please align it vertically to the water, not horizontally on others’ property. County ordinances restrict tents larger than 10’x10’. 8. Ground level showers are provided for each unit. Please rinse sand before entering units. 9. FYI: Florida law prohibits off ground fireworks and fires of any type on the beach. 10. FYI $500 Escambia county fine imposed for pets on beach. 11. Sea turtles often nest on or near our townhome property. All outdoor lights need to be off by 10pm. For those that do nest, their hatchlings may be tricked into going toward lighting sources (instead of the instinctively attracted to starlight or moonlight reflecting off the water). You may notice outside deck areas have Amber sea turtle bulbs. This is an Escambia county ordinance.  Some occupants at Perdido Dunes are full time residents - not vacationers. Please respect those of us who must go to work by keeping noise to a minimum, especially after 10:00 pm. No Smoking inside of home.
